|"Stand Back," Said the Elephant, "I'm Going to Sneeze!", by Patricia Thomas, illus. by Wallace Tripp|
|This book and "There Are Rocks in My Socks!" Said the Ox to
the Fox are both filled with fun and challenging alliteration and rhyme. Wallace
Tripp's illustrations make this book my personal favourite of the two.|
|"There Are Rocks in My Socks!" Said the Ox to the Fox, by Patricia Thomas, illus. by Mordecai Gerstein|
|Like "Stand Back," Said the Elephant, "I'm Going to
Sneeze!", this book is filled with fun and challenging alliteration and rhyme.
Both books exercise your ability to pronounce words clearly and quickly while reading
the story to your children. The illustrations are full of interesting things to look at.|
|Little Chief, by Syd Hoff, illus. by Syd Hoff|
|Syd Hoff has written many famous children's books.
This book has pages and pages of illustrations of animals, adults and children.
The little boy does a rain dance for some new-found friends that doesn't seem
to work at first; but see if you can spot the rain cloud at the end!|
|How It Works in the Country, by Walt Disney Productions, illus. by Walt Disney Productions|
|This book is excellent for a child who loves heavy machinery.
There are descriptions and cutaway illustrations of dairy farming, mining, boating,
harvesting, and so much more. A child who loves to know how things work will find this
book filled with a lot of information they won't typically find in just a construction
book. The pictures are clear and crisp and filled with Disney characters. This is a good
addition to your child's reference library.|
|Magic Secrets, by Rose Wyler and Gerald Ames, illus. by Talivaldis Stubis|
|This is a good book of clever little magic tricks that are easy
for children to do. Many of the tricks are actually little science experiments as well!
This book is well illustrated. Try these tricks out with your children and then watch
them show their friends! It's a science experiment, craft project, and performance
practice all rolled into one!|
